This is our Sadie. Sadie Lou Simba Nala. She started with a regular name, Sadie, but quickly became Sadie Lou Simba Nala due to the fact that I had twins. Each wanted to name her. At one point, Sadie was sitting with her back to the girls and was looking out our back door. One of the girls said she looked like Simba from the movie Lion King. The other agreed, briefly, and then countered with Nala. Both wanted to be right and both had to rename her. Therefore, she became Sadie Lou Simba Nala. They were both right.
Sadie is a Chesapeake Bay Retriever that came into our lives about 12 years ago. She is the sweetest loyal little gal around. It is hard to believe that she will be 12 in less than a month. There are times when she is racing across the backyard chasing birds that she stills seems to be a pup. Even more so when she is chasing her tennis ball around the family room! Our family would be incomplete without her.

What a great story and name, as well. I have a dog named Nala…a Saint Bernard. I just love the name! My ex-boyfriend’s dad had Chesapeake Bay Retrievers and they were extremely loyal and smart. The oldest was going on 13 and still puppy-like…just as your Sadie Lou Simba Nala is.
Thank you. Love the name Nala…and for a St. Bernard no less. Perfect. : ) I love Saint Bernards. I had a teacher that would bring hers to class every once in a while and I of course fell in love with the big pup. : )
