Found this old relic and thought I would try to clean her up a little. Peel back some layers and see what was left beneath the years of covering up old scars and stories.
Turns out revealing what is hidden beneath opened up the opportunity to let a little sun shine through and refresh.
Time to create some new memories and stories.
Just Ramblin’
This is a great find. I love your blog my chocolate newfie wants Miss. Stella to be his girlfriend
I may have forgotten to tell you that I passed an award to you recently: http://bassasblog.wordpress.com/2012/06/13/you-make-me-shine/
It’s amazing what lies beneath!
What a brilliant job and so much nicer then what’s in the shops now
Beautiful – I love your choice in final color. Yellow is so cheerful and bright.
Very nice!
Wow very nice. You did a great job on it!!
Thanks so much. Having my morning cup of coffee this a.m. was really a treat!
I’m sure that took a lot of elbow grease, but it looks fantastic. And ones not in even half that shape go for so much!
Thanks so much : ) It did take quite a bit of elbow grease, a tad bit of sweat, and some serious tunes to drown out the negative “You’ll never finish this” runaway train thought that occosaionally ran through my head! No way am I parting with this sweet treasure…I hope one of my girls will want it when I am too (way way in the future!) old to enjoy it anymore.
Wow, I never thought it would be so lovely underneath. Nice job
Thank you. I love such surprises msyself. The first capture is when I was trying to scrape, scrape, scrape and sand all of the 12 or so layers off the glider. The second shot is the sweet treat of a gallon of fresh paint post scraping!
Impressive. Do you do this sort of thing a lot?
Thanks : ) Actually this was my first effort. It was awesome finally finishing and getting a chance to relax and glide in the evening breeze.
It looks just the right size to stretch out on!
It actually is just perfect for doing so. : )
That is beautiful! Nice job!
Thank you : )
Amazing creation
Thank you very much : )
Very Nice!!! Isn’t it amazing what we can find underneath??
Yes indeed. Sometimes it is worth lookking beyond what we think is right in front of us . : )
