Mischief Time

Time for another round of Mischief Blog Hop

Dogs, Newfoundland Dog, Puppy, Newfie, Gentle GiantsNeither rain, sleet, wind, or snow (please keep the snow at bay a little longer) will keep this Newf from her walk.  In her “On Alert” stance, Miss Stella hears something in the neighbor’s yard. It is either one of many cats or a rustling plastic grocery bag. Either way, she is keeping her eyes on it.

Dogs, Newfoundland Dog, Puppy, Newfie, Gentle GiantsI will let you decide if Miss Stella has just stepped out of the shower, got drenched while attacking the dishwasher, or was waiting to do her little “Shakedowntherainwateralloveryou” dance from walking in the rain. You have to guess which end is which as this mop lets me know that her Kong needs to come out of that dishwasher A.S.A.P.

Dogs, Newfoundland Dog, Puppy, Newfie, Gentle GiantsMiss Stella gets up close and personal to see if she has completed her Newf style drenching completely enough. She did.

Mischief 4Not to be outdone, Miss Sadie Lou was sneaky enough this weekend to get the volleyball first and lurks through the butterfly bushes for a surprise approach on Miss Stella. There is nothing quite like a ripped volleyball, two dogs, and me in my rain boots sloshing through mud puddles and slick grass in the rain playing “Keep Away”, “Chase”, and “Do Not Get That Stick One More Time!”

Each day has some moment or two that these pups keep us on our toes. Whether it be walking in the rain, and yes I sometimes sing when out there, unloading the dishes, or playing volleyball, these pups find some mischievous antic for entertainment.
