I think this is more of an adventure than mischief, but most of what we saw truly made Miss Stella curious, which makes her mischievous.
We started off with a walk around the edge of the park on a paved walkway and then began hiking the trails.
We came across this fallen tree. Apparently the mischievous wind did this. Deciding how to get to the other side was interesting.
Finding this spring was cool and prompted a spontaneous sit-down-sniff fest. Curious new smell-mail!
This may look like a bridge because it is a bridge. But looking over the side, there is a reason for all of the cross bars. It was a long long way down to the trail. No room for mischievous curiosity here. Plus, at this point it was getting to be ‘tuckered-out’ time.
Back at the top of the trails in the parking lot, a long cool drink was quite refreshing. After tons of sniffin’, lots of walking, seeing and hearing all sorts of new things, Miss Stella was plain ol’ worn out.
So worn out that Miss Stella headed for the covers, pulled them over her head, and took a loooonnnggg nap.

Miss Stella is beautiful! I love seeing dogs exploring new areas for the first time, they’re so cute when they try to negotiate new obstacles or sniff out new scents.

Getting the covers back from Miss Stella can be an issue sometimes! Her cozy sleepy fur body weighs a ton and is hard to move when she is sleepy!

I love taking the Newfs to new places! It mentally just wears them out and I love to see their minds working!!
These two are truly siblings. They have to be with the way they act! Miss Stella just trucked my daughter…Leroy style!
I have found that Newfs do need to be mentally engaged just as much as physically active. If I do not make her think and work mentally, she can really instigate some trouble! : )

Walking across was fine, looking down and discovering how far down it actually was caused a little skip in the heartbeat. : )

It was really cool Winnie. I have more to post on it as it really was a great hike. Miss Stella has her work mind and loads of energy so taking her on this mini hikes helps to keep her from being bored or lazy. Plus she gets me up and out as well! : )
