How do you share your moments?

I have come to discover that while most of us have a certain theme to our blogs, we have something in common. Moments. We tend to capture and share our moments using photography. This common thread brings our worlds together and weaves our moments into stories across themes and ‘niches’. While some of us post about amazing food, beautiful art, sweet pets, dealing with life, and even photography itself, we all have photos. And over time, I have started to see that there are many creative and talented bloggers capturing the moments that make life so rich and full.

So with this said, I have designed the Creative Capture Blogging Award.

blogging award

This award is for bloggers that put their creative eye behind the lens and capture moments that are shared with the world. Taking a picture can be easy, but pushing that ‘publish’  button lets the world in to see what the photographer feels. A picture is not just a random snapshot, but a chosen moment in time. A moment chosen among many to be shared. Not an easy thing to do. It is more like brave, creative, honest and giving. Something deserving recognition, an award even. No rules. No ‘have to’. Just celebration.

Whenever you see this award on a blog, stop for a moment. Take time to see, really see what the blogger has taken time to capture and share with the rest of us in this blogosphere. We really are getting little gifts each time we stop by someone’s blog. We get to step into the blogger’s life and see what their story is about. What a cool and creative world in which we live where sharing our moments so creatively makes for amazing stories to be told.

I would like to award the following with the Creative Capture Blogging Award:

Look for more of these awards to be given in the near future.

What Mischief Did You Discover This Weekend?

I think this is more of an adventure than mischief, but most of what we saw truly made Miss Stella curious, which makes her mischievous.

We started off with a walk around the edge of the park on a paved walkway and then began hiking the trails.

We came across this fallen tree. Apparently the mischievous wind did this. Deciding how to get to the other side was interesting.

Finding this spring was cool and prompted a spontaneous sit-down-sniff fest. Curious new smell-mail!

This may look like a bridge because it is a bridge. But looking over the side, there is a reason for all of the cross bars. It was a long long way down to the trail. No room for mischievous curiosity here. Plus, at this point it was getting to be ‘tuckered-out’ time.

Back at the top of the trails in the parking lot, a long cool drink was quite refreshing. After tons of sniffin’, lots of walking, seeing and hearing all sorts of new things, Miss Stella was plain ol’ worn out.

So worn out that Miss Stella headed for the covers, pulled them over her head, and took a loooonnnggg nap.

I think I might be able to get this to work now. Hopefully! This is a blog hop! Since this is a WordPress blog, apparently the links will not work so I have to link back to one of the hosts which is MyBrownNewfies! Stop on over to join in the hop.
