Sunday Stills: In the Dark – Night Photos
We now have this new overpass that is a part of our daily driving routine. It still is in that ‘Wow, this is odd’ stage because we have driven down a country road for years and years. Now there is a parkway just opened underneath our once country road. We have to drive over this parkway which is bothersome due to more traffic but it does allow for great photos including this one when we were welcoming in the night.
Taken earlier in the season, this photo reminds me of the many many times I would sing (and I only sang to my girls when they were very little…no singing voice here!) “Oh Mr. Moon”. They were always fascinated by how the moon seemed to move and change over time and would constantly ask where did it go, why did it change, and did it always shine like that.
Also taken earlier this year, this was one of several ‘surprises’ in the night. We were huddled inside working on homework and watching movies not paying any attention to the outdoors. We just new that it was extremely cold and we were not headed out there for anything! One of the girls checked their Facebook and saw a deluge of status posts about this crazy amount of snow. Thinking it was a joke, we stuck our noses out the door and this was on our back deck. Surprise!
