Even in her last month, she wanted to be in the middle of all the action. We were painting the kitchen, boxes were everywhere, and we blocked the entry with an exercise ball. Maggie Mae stared us down until we caved, in she came, and planted herself right in the middle of our workspace.
Note to self: Do not let anything keep you from where you want to be in this life.
As I have mentioned before on this blog, Miss Maggie Mae often would sneak and take something, anything, that she knew she should not have. Books, shoes, pens, photo albums, nothing was off-limits. Here she has taken a wrapper, crawled under a table between two chairs, and was adamant that it was hers and was not about to give it to me. I once wondered where my brand new bag of Halls cough drops were, and noticed odd-looking objects in the back yard. Upon closer inspection, they were pieces of Halls wrappers. Hhhmmmm… no wonder her breath had improved vastly.
Note to self: Sometimes you just have to go for what you want, be 100% committed to getting it, and let no one take your treasures from you.
Miss Maggie Mae.
Note to self: Love with all of your heart, give with all that you have, and know that today is the day to make it happen. Tomorrow is not guaranteed.
If she were here today, she would lay with Miss Sadie making sure she was ok especially during a seizure. She would teach Miss Stella how best to fetch a tennis ball and most likely how to sneak the ‘off~limit goodies’.
