I’m not sure which is more green, the clover or her eyes! She melts my heart everytime she stops and looks up at me like this. Every single time. Wow. I did not realize how sore my heart was until this little face started greeting me every morning. She walks with me all over the yard, occassionally chasing Sadie, but comes right back to me. Sits. Looks up. And grabs my heart all over again. If I walk she will walk right along with me and then stop when I stop. She amazes me.
If Miss Sadie is out with us, which she usually is, Stella will sometimes run up to her and try to get her to play. Sadie is tolerant, accepting, but not quite ready to chase and romp around the yard. Her tired little 12 year old body holds her back just a little. She will sometimes let Stella pounce on her wagging tail though bringing much delight to Miss Stella.
Now I know that Newfies are born and bred water dogs, but to sleep with some part of your body in water is a tried and true water dog! She loves to lay next to the water bowl, sometimes even “spooning” it! Usually some part of her is touching the water. We have to keep an eye on her! She constantly makes me smile.
